What is the bowl made of?

The NORLUA Singing Bowl is crafted from brass, chosen for its warm tonal character and natural resonance. Its surface is sandblasted and completed with a specially developed color finish and a protective fingerprint-resistant layer.

How is the surface finished?

The brass surface is first sandblasted to create a soft, even texture. A specially developed color finish is then applied, followed by a protective fingerprint-resistant layer. The result is a restrained, contemporary surface designed to sit naturally within the modern home.

Does the finish affect the sound?

Every surface finish influences how a brass singing bowl responds. NORLUA’s finish was developed as an intentional balance between sound and form. It gently softens some of the sharper high-frequency overtones and unwanted metallic noise, creating a warmer, more controlled tonal character while preserving the bowl’s natural resonance.

How should I care for the finish?

After use, wipe the bowl gently with a soft, dry cloth. For light marks or stains, apply a small amount of alcohol to a soft cloth and wipe the affected area gently, then dry it immediately with a clean cloth. Do not apply alcohol directly to the bowl, and avoid repeated or excessive cleaning.

Do not soak the bowl or rinse it under running water. Keep it away from perfume, metal polish, strong cleaning products, abrasive materials, sharp objects, and high heat.

Handle with care. Let the object age slowly.

How to Use

How do I play it?

Use the wooden mallet to gently strike the outer rim once for a clear opening tone, or move the playing stick slowly around the outer wall to create a continuous sound. The circular method may take a few tries; move slowly, keep your hand relaxed, and let the bowl respond.

Can beginners use it?

Yes. You do not need musical training, meditation experience, or any specific belief. Strike it once, listen to the tone fade, and begin there.

Is every bowl tuned to the same note or frequency?

Each bowl has its own natural voice. Tone can vary slightly with material, shape, finish, and hand-striking. NORLUA is designed for a warm, pleasant listening experience rather than a strict technical frequency claim.

Where should I place it?

Place it where the day naturally slows down: beside a bed, near a book, on a shelf, by a candle, in a quiet corner, or on a desk after work. NORLUA is designed to live in view, not hidden away.

How long does shipping take?

Orders are normally prepared within 2–4 business days. After dispatch, standard delivery is estimated at 7–12 business days. Rural or remote addresses within our service area may require up to 5 additional business days. Delivery dates are estimates, not guarantees.

What if my item arrives damaged?

If your order arrives damaged, please contact us within 7 days of delivery with your order number and clear photos of the packaging and item. We will review the issue and help arrange the next step.

How do returns work?
