Terms of service
Last updated: July 24, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of norlua.com and any purchase from NORLUA LIMITED (“NORLUA,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By using the website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the website or purchase through it.
1. About the store
NORLUA operates an online store offering modern brass singing bowls and related accessories. Shopify provides the ecommerce platform used to operate the store.
2. Eligibility and acceptable use
You must be at least the age of majority in the place where you live, or use the Services with the involvement and permission of a parent or legal guardian. You may not use the Services for an unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, infringing, or harmful purpose; interfere with security or operation; transmit malicious code; scrape the Services in a way that creates unreasonable load; or attempt unauthorized access.
3. Product information
We make reasonable efforts to describe products accurately. Images, video, audio, colors, proportions, and sound descriptions may appear or sound different depending on lighting, recording equipment, screens, speakers, headphones, room acoustics, and individual perception.
Brass and finished surfaces may show minor variation. Words such as “warm,” “clear,” “soft,” or “controlled” describe intended or typical tonal qualities and do not guarantee that every listener, room, or recording device will reproduce an identical result. Product details published on the product page at the time of purchase form part of the order information.
4. Prices, taxes, duties, and payment
Prices are shown in the currency displayed on the website and may change before an order is placed. Applicable sales tax, if any, may be calculated at checkout. For the destinations we currently serve, import duties and ordinary customs-clearance charges are included unless checkout clearly states otherwise.
You agree to provide current, complete, and accurate billing, payment, and contact information. Payment is subject to authorization by the relevant payment provider. We may correct an obvious pricing or description error before accepting or dispatching an order and will give you the option to proceed at the corrected price or cancel.
5. Orders and acceptance
An order confirmation acknowledges receipt of your order but does not necessarily mean we have accepted it. We may accept, reject, limit, or cancel an order for legitimate reasons, including product unavailability, suspected fraud, payment failure, shipping restrictions, pricing error, or violation of these Terms. If we cancel an order after payment, we will refund the amount charged for the cancelled item.
6. Shipping and delivery
Shipping coverage, processing times, delivery estimates, remote-area treatment, and address restrictions are described in our Shipping Policy. Delivery dates are estimates unless we expressly agree otherwise. If we cannot ship within the stated period, we will provide the notice, delay option, or refund required by applicable law.
You are responsible for providing an accurate and deliverable address. Risk of loss transfers when the package is delivered to the address you supplied, except to the extent applicable law provides otherwise. If tracking shows delivery but the package cannot be located, contact us promptly so we can review the matter with the carrier.
7. Returns, refunds, and cancellations
Returns, refunds, damaged or incorrect orders, manufacturing problems, and cancellation requests are governed by our Return & Refund Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms.
8. Product use and care
Use the product only as described in the supplied instructions and on a stable, protected surface. Handle the singing bowl and accessories carefully, keep them away from conditions or substances identified in the care instructions, and keep the product away from small children or pets when unsupervised. Stop using a product that appears structurally damaged.
9. No medical or therapeutic service
NORLUA products and website content are offered as sound, design, and general lifestyle objects. They are not medical devices and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or health condition. Product descriptions, sound content, and references to calm, focus, presence, meditation, or relaxation are not medical advice or guarantees of a therapeutic outcome. Seek qualified professional advice for medical or mental-health concerns.
10. Intellectual property
The website and its content, including the NORLUA name, logos, product designs, photographs, video, audio, text, graphics, layout, and other materials, are owned by or licensed to NORLUA and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. You may use the website for personal, non-commercial shopping purposes. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, publish, sell, or commercially exploit the content without prior written permission.
11. Reviews, messages, and other submissions
If you submit a review, photograph, suggestion, or other content, you confirm that you have the right to provide it and that it is not unlawful, misleading, defamatory, infringing, or harmful. You grant NORLUA a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, reproduce, display, and use the submission for operating, improving, and promoting the Services, subject to applicable privacy law. We are not required to publish any submission and may remove content that violates these Terms.
12. Third-party services and links
The Services may include tools, payment services, applications, or links provided by third parties. Their services are subject to their own terms and policies. To the extent permitted by law, NORLUA is not responsible for a third party’s independent service, content, or conduct.
13. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the website and general content are provided on an “as available” basis. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free access. We do not provide any separate fixed-term commercial warranty for the product. Nothing in these Terms excludes an express written commitment we make for a specific order or a warranty, right, or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded.
14. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, NORLUA and its directors, officers, employees, affiliates, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential loss arising from the Services or a product. Where liability cannot be excluded but may be limited, NORLUA’s aggregate liability relating to an order will not exceed the amount you paid for that order.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence where such limitation is prohibited, willful misconduct, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be limited. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.
15. Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to reimburse NORLUA for reasonable loss, liability, or expense resulting directly from your unlawful use of the Services, your material breach of these Terms, or your infringement of another person’s rights. This section does not apply to ordinary consumer use or limit any non-waivable right.
16. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the Services if reasonably necessary to protect the store or others, address unlawful activity, or respond to a material breach. Provisions that by their nature should continue—including intellectual property, disclaimers, liability limits, and governing law—survive termination.
17. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The courts of Hong Kong have non-exclusive jurisdiction, subject always to any mandatory consumer protection law and any right to bring a claim in another forum that cannot lawfully be waived.
Before beginning formal proceedings, please contact care@norlua.com and allow us a reasonable opportunity to resolve the issue.
18. General terms
If any provision is found unenforceable, it will be limited or removed only to the extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. These Terms, together with policies incorporated by reference and order-specific terms, form the agreement between you and NORLUA regarding the Services.
19. Changes
We may update these Terms by posting a revised version with a new “Last updated” date. Changes apply prospectively unless applicable law requires otherwise. Your continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
